SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR Frontman To Guest On TRAVIS BARKER's Solo Album

February 13, 2010

According to Spinner, SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor will make an appearance on BLINK-182 drummer Travis Barker's upcoming debut solo album.

"I'm rounding it out right now," Barker tells Spinner of the album's many guests. "I just love music. The more I can be around it the better, so with my album it's no one genre. It goes from everything from punk rock to hip-hop to some electro stuff on there to a metal song with Corey Taylor from SLIPKNOT. It's been really fun and interesting up 'till now."

STONE SOUR is currently at Blackbird Studio in Nashville with producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH, ALICE IN CHAINS) working on its third studio album for a late 2010 release via Roadrunner Records.

Raskulinecz previously worked with STONE SOUR on the band's gold-selling 2006 effort, "Come What(ever) May".

Both previous STONE SOUR albums have sold more than half a million copies and are approaching the platinum mark in sales, bolstered by hits like "Bother", "Through Glass" and "Silly World".

Taylor and STONE SOUR guitarist Jim Root also play in SLIPKNOT.
